What's the deal with evenkill?
HistoryEvenKill.com was born out of two older CS communities, Krezerj and CS-Ant. With beginnings going back to CS1.3 and February of 2001. KrezerJ became a popular CS pub server with a reputation for a fun respectful community. ( You can read more about that here if you wish ). BenTheMeek, one of the admins from Krezerj, attempted to start a source server in mid 2008 for a test run to see if there would be interest in resurrecting the KrezerJ community as most of the regulars and admins had moved on. That server was tested and found satisfactory, and after the host decided to use it for other purposes it was determined by those of us still interested (Jobo, Sgt. Hartman, Jeistd and myself) that we should get a more reliable and professional instance of a server. It was decided that with our new server and desire to build a new source community, we should probably change our name as krezerj (our friend alex who owns that domain) no longer is the avid cs player he once was. After floating ideas around,we all liked the name evenkill.com and thus our new community began.
Goals and RulesWe are committed (just as the Krezerj and CS-Ant were before us) to a fun gaming community where players are shown respect and give proper respect to their peers. This doesn't mean that there is a ban on playful banter or in-your-face comments during the game. It does means that vulgar language and names will be not be allowed on our server; and maybe even general rudeness might get you kicked by an admin if they deem it necessary. It sounds cliche but let's have fun and just treat others the way you yourself expect to be treated in a public place. Many of the admins were committed Christians when we ran KrezerJ.com with the goal to have a fun pub server to play without the problems that exist on many of the other pub servers. Keep that in mind while you play here, that anti-religious insults or curses are just as offensive to many people as certain popular 4 letter words ;) You won't go wrong though if you follow that cliche first rule, nuff said. |
